In pursuit of truth
A lifetime aspiring to Western hypocricy
As a white man, born in a Muslim country in Asia, who fled by boat to England with his parents as political refugees in 1960, it was never going to be easy to succeed in a foreign country.
Nevertheless, I did well, considering my foreign name and little knowledge of English, first surviving public boarding schools thanks to rugby, boxing and judo, followed by a rewarding career in advertising and international publishing.
As a child, it’s easy to look up to and aspire to be like the civilised orderly people you find in a new country. Everything is synchronised, all very seamless and it all appears to work perfectly. You want to be like them. Gradually, you become one of them. It’s easy. After all, everything is labelled for you. Us vs. them, good vs. bad, right vs. wrong. It all makes sense and everyone is on the same page, singing to the same tune. You live it and believe it.
Then one day, you wake up to a nightmare. A US-funded and European backed genocide being live streamed to the whole world. You watch as people similar to you and your background, are slaughtered, tortured, with babies targeted by snipers and people starved to death. The Western hypocricy is finally exposed for all to see and you realise that they have been lying to you, all your life.
In this website, I will try to make sense of this world and my life in it, as I see it.
